PTO General Meeting
November 10, 2008
Principal's Report
Welcome and thank you for coming. We are currently waiting for specifications on the concrete slab for our outdoor classroom. Once we have this information the project can move forward. Mr. Decker had all in attendance introduce themselves. Tracy Peterson was introduced as tonight’s speaker. Mrs. Peterson is the gifted facilitator and did a presentation on the Maxey’s Gifted Program.
Teacher's Report
Thank you to the PTO for the delicious meals.
Secretary's Report
A thank you note was received from the teacher’s thanking the PTO for the meals and one apology note from a student.
Treasurer's Report
Additions/modifications to the budget were discussed.
President's Report
Thank you to all who so graciously volunteer for the PTO. Fundraising has gone very well this year so far.
Old Business
Kris Kiewra gave an update on the outdoor classroom. We have received a grant for $6500 in additional money for this project.
New Business
We are considering purchasing a new laminator which is greatly needed for the Monarch Press. Lanny Boswell asked for volunteers to help with the North Central Accreditation process. Maxey is the only LPS elementary school currently with this accreditation. Volunteers are needed to aid constructing the report for the renewal process.

The directory is compiled and should be sent out soon.
